RAMITOMBOSON Michela
is a Malagasy designer and founder of myMitoo: An ethical fashion brand that preserves and reflects the culture and heritage of Madagascar. From her east coast hometown of Mahanoro, she came to the capital city Antananarivo to study urban architecture in 2009. She then worked as a webmaster from 2012 to 2014 for a Web agency and the magazine, “No Comment.” At the age of 27, she took a turn in her career to pursue becoming a fashion designer after taking 2nd place in a fashion designer contest at the Festival des Arts Métisses and receiving the award for best young fashion designer at the Tendances Show Madagascar. In 2021, she had an article published in Le Monde Afrique for her role in Madagascar “slow” fashion – conscious fashion for conscious consumers. She was recently chosen by NextA Madagascar to help continue her career and passion within the fashion industry.
